MFI GROUP: FUTURE LASTS A LONG TIME

Wednesday 18 & Thursday 19 7.30 - 9.30pm at Choumert Road Market as part of Peckham Artist Moving Image Festival (PAMI)

Future Lasts a Long Time is an intrusion into a public space by Mental Furniture Industry Group. Choumert Road Market is used as a site for a collection of disregarded televisual monitors playing new lost thoughts and collective confusions. Aural hypertext is collectively discharged for educational waste management purposes. Bring your own sunset.

MFI Group is a year long discussion and study programme based at Flat Time House. It is composed of new graduates with the aim of supporting their development as artists outside of formal education. MFI group forms a major part of Flat Time House's ongoing research into alternative models of education and is built around peer learning and collaborative research. It takes its name from John Latham's description of institutional education as the Mental Furniture Industry.
