 (NOIT-3 Launch 0)

NOIT—3 Edited by Marc Camille Chaimowicz with Andrew Wheatley

Flat Time House is delighted to launch the third edition of the journal NOIT, guest edited by Marc Camille Chaimowicz with Andrew Wheatley. The event will feature a talk by Roger Cook entitled 'Art as a Eu-topic Space'.

"However dire the predictions of neo-liberalism’s economic fatalism, this years celebration of the 500th anniversary of the printing of Thomas More’s Utopia reminds us that the arts must never give up on imagining a better future.

It was on a trip to William Morris’s Red Houseon May Day this year that I was asked if I would like to contribute a talk at the launch of NOIT–3. Since John Latham was in many respects a utopian thinker, and Marc Camille Chaimowicz shares Morris’s eu-topic belief in the arts as an ‘indispensible instrument of human happiness’ it came to me that a talk on this subject might be appropriate." - Roger Cook

This special edition of NOIT includes hand-drawn artwork and borders by Marc Camille Chaimowicz. NOIT—3 features essays by Kirsty Bell, Katrina Black, Marie Canet, Roger Cook and David Thorp and is published by Camberwell Press. The first 50 editions will include a limited edition dust jacket and bookmark.

This is a free event. Flat Time House is open until 6pm and is a 10 minute walk from Peckham Liberal Club.
