The future of Flat Time House, Peckham, the studio home of the late British artist John Latham, has been secured. The Estate of John Latham and Flat Time House Institute are delighted to announce that a purchaser for 210 Bellenden Road has come forward, generously allowing Flat Time House Institute to continue operating in its current premises. The Santarelli Family and Dino and Ernesta Santarelli Foundation will take ownership of the property that accommodates Flat Time House and the institute will continue to operate independently in the original studio and home of John Latham.

Take a little piece of Flat Time House home with you! For The Shift exhibition, Antony Hudek has created stickers of the phrase 'the shift' replicated exactly as it appears on the walls throughout Flat Time House. Their presence refers to the shift in perception from rational to intuitive thought as well as the paradigm shift that would be required for the establishment to take on board the new cosmology presented by Latham’s theory of ‘Flat Time’.

The Open Sky, was published by Rory Pilgrim in conjunction with his show at Flat Time House. 

This exhibition and events programme brings together the work of the six graduating students from the MA Sound Arts at London College of Communication, UAL. The show presents an opportunity to encounter the rich diversity of practices emerging from this course, now in its eighth year. Playfully borrowing the title of Judith Butler's eponymous 1993 book on the iterative nature of performativity and its political implications, the works of the six artists, foregrounded in the embodied processes of listening, engage questions of gesture and labour, translation and memory, amongst other critical interests, in work that spans performance, installation and sound poetry.

FTHo's artist and curator-led workshops, on-going and creative archiving projects are challenging learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Now in its third year, the N-U* graduate residency is intended give mentorship to an emerging artist, as well as time and space to research and develop their artistic consciousness.

Published on the occassion of Winter Garden, an exhibition and events programme of performances, readings and broadcasts made in response to John Latham's garden in winter. 

Organised by MA Culture, Criticism and Curation students at Central Saint Martins, There was an opening, the carpet was squishy is an exhibition of works by Paulien Barbas, Russell Hill, Vesta Kroese and Ryan Rivadeneyra at Flat Time House. These distinctive international artists will work in video, performance and installation to reimagine the possibilities of experimental practice.

Their work will be informed by archival material relating to Gallery House; the independent, avant-garde gallery that provided a space in London from 1972 to 1973 for artists to work uncensored and without commercial considerations.

Flat Time House will become an intensive workshop linking art made on site and discussions with Gallery House participants, such as the curator Sigi Krauss. The project is based on open research and live art practice.

We are pleased to announce, following an open call earlier this year, that we have jointly awarded the state 0 research residency to Katherine Jackson and Sophia Satchell Baeza. Both Katherine and Sophia will each spend a month in residence at Flat Time House undertaking research in our archive.

Following an open call this summer we are pleased to announce that Alex Frost is the recipient of the 2015 Phynance Residency and will be in residence at Flat Time House for 4 months from November. The residency will culminate with an exhibition and publication in 2015.

Flat Time House is pleased to announce the publication of the second issue of NOIT, FTHo's creative journal published in conjunction with Camberwell Press. NOIT–2, guest edited by Lisa Le Feuvre, Head of Sculpture Studies at the Henry Moore Institute, considers how burning, an action predominant in Latham's ideas, has been deployed by artists in various ways.

In partnership with the Barry Flanagan Foundation, Flat Time House is accepting applications from established artists for a residency to begin in November 2014.

Flat Time House are pleased to announce that following an open call of over 300 applications, Simon & Tom Bloor have been selected as PHYNANCE resident artists.

The MFI graduate award is a 12 month discussion and study programme based at Flat Time House. It is awarded each year to selected new graduates with the aim of supporting their development as artists outside of formal education
