Better than buying better than borrowing or even lending stealing.

Love is theft.

Authorship and ownership confuse me.

I am a collector.

Biography.

Giorgio Sadotti is a London-based conceptual artist play maker. His work often explores the "bare bones" of art-making, utilizing systems and chance to create art that sometimes appears to generate itself in his absence.  Sadotti is known for his collage, sculpture, and sound work, creating playful yet thought-provoking pieces that reveal hidden layers in everyday imagery. Sadotti's work often involves "found collages" and the recontextualization of existing media. His art practice includes sculpture, sound, performance, collage and photography. He seems to defy the conventions of the art world explanatory texts and press releases, and in the past has opted to be anonymously referred to as The Artist. In his dreams Giorgio Sadotti is the illegitimate child of Marcel Duchamp. The world is all readymade to him. He even describes a recent dream where he was in conversation with Duchamp who seemingly advised him “don’t try”.
